Additional Drivers/Operators* *Additional authorized operators and/or authorized operators may be subject to an
additional charge. In most cases, the renter is the only authorized operator of the vehicle without the
express written permission of the rental car company. For rentals within the states of
California, New York, and Nevada the renters legal spouse is considered an
Authorized Operator, and with permission from the renter, may operate the vehicle. For
rentals under certain corporate accounts, the renters fellow employee(s), employer,
or employees on business rentals are considered Authorized Operators and with permission
from the renter may operate the vehicle. With the exception of the State of Utah in the
extent of an emergency situation, no other persons are allowed to operate the vehicle
unless such persons are properly qualified, have signed an Additional Authorized Operator
form and appear at the time of rental. Verify other qualifications at time of rental for details. Most qualifications require
that additional drivers MUST be at least 25 years old and have an acceptable drivers
license, and a major credit card or return airline ticket.
The two categories of additional drivers/operators are defined
below:
Most car rental companies require the renter/authorized operator to be a minimum of 25 years of age.
There may be separate charges from taxes at participating locations which could include airport fees, surcharges and/or motor vehicle fees related to car rentals.
If you chose to exit on a shuttle bus, an airport access fee of up to 11% may apply at some locations. There is an 8.5% to 11.1% airport concession recovery fee that may apply on all rentals at many airports. Please check at time of rental for details.
Coverages/Liability Protection
Please verify at time of rental. State provisions of liability protection vary.
At time of rental an acceptable valid drivers license, issued from your country of residence MUST be presented and must be valid for the entire rental period. For rentals in the United States, an International Drivers Permit is recommended for licenses that are in a language other than English. All rentals require a valid drivers license issued in your home country, with or without the International Drivers Permit. No rentals will be permitted with only an International Drivers Permit.
In the United States driving is done on the right side of the road.
Unless specifically indicated, rental rates do not include gasoline.
Hours of operation for a specific location will be available at time of rental request. Hours of operation are subject to change without notice. Please check at time of reservation.
Applicable local taxes vary by location and all rental charges are subject to the local tax for that location. Please verify at time of rental.
When transportation is required to transport the renter from the airport terminal to the location of the vehicle, the car rental company will provide shuttle bus transportation.
At some locations, a credit card may be required at time of reservation to guarantee specific car class availability. A minimum cancellation period may apply to avoid a substantial cancellation fee.
